Terms & Conditions
Our sharing trip concept is a strong foundation of mutual respect, kindness, and effective communication within each other enables us to create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued. This culture of respect extends beyond simply being courteous—it’s about actively listening to each other, engaging in constructive conversations, and offering support when needed. When customers treat each other with dignity, speak positively, and remain polite, even in challenging situations, it creates an environment where individuals feel empowered to perform their best. Our commitment to cultivating such an environment requires everyone to contribute actively to maintaining a positive tone, ensuring that no one feels dismissed or undervalued. You can cancel your booking at no cost up to 48 hours before your scheduled pickup. Every client receives a detailed reservation confirmation, including relevant policies and instructions. We are not responsible for any incorrect information as we give all clients plenty of opportunities to review the booking details for accuracy, adding passengers, and so on.
Once your reservation is confirmed with Advanced Limo Services, we reserve a car and driver specifically for your requested time and service. We incur costs in preparing for this service, whether you use the vehicle or not. The driver has committed to the time and turned down other service requests to be available for you.
By booking with Advanced Limo Services, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions, including authorizing us to charge your credit card for the full reservation amount or any additional charges, such as waiting time if you’re considered a “no-show” or cancel late. Service is considered provided once the cancellation window has passed, regardless of whether you enter the vehicle.
All bookings require a credit card on file for confirmation.
All payments for services are nonrefundable.
Booking & Reservation Terms
A “Booking” is considered valid until you receive an updated “Booking Confirmation” from our team. If you need to make any modifications or cancellations, please inform us as soon as possible. If a driver is sent to a call that hasn’t been updated by the customer and processed by our office in time, extra charges may be applied to cover the driver’s expenses.
For long-distance trips or full car reservation or airport bookings, the reservation will remain valid until you receive a confirmation, which will be sent no later than 24 hours prior to your departure or flight time (either departure or arrival).
Payments
All reservations are secured with a credit or debit card. Our standard process is to charge 50% of the total at the time of booking, and a receipt will be sent to the email provided. The remaining balance will be charged on the day of departure and can be paid either by card or cash directly in the vehicle before the scheduled departure time.
Credit Card Submission
Your credit card details are submitted, stored, and always transmitted securely with full encryption, ensuring they remain unreadable to anyone. Advanced Limo Services will not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial information with any third parties.
By submitting your credit card details, you agree to accept full responsibility for all charges associated with the transportation services for the individuals listed on the form or booking submission. You authorize Advanced Limo Services to charge the provided credit card for any costs related to these services for the individuals mentioned or their associates. The account holder is responsible for charges incurred by employees or affiliates of the company. Additionally, you acknowledge that extra charges may apply for wait times, cancellations, or damages caused by anyone associated with the account holder. You accept and agree to these terms and conditions and understand that you are liable for all charges, allowing Advanced Limo Services to take any necessary legal action to rectify any outstanding amounts.
Cancellation
At Advanced Limo Services, we ensure that our vehicles and drivers are available to you at the scheduled time, which means we often turn down other opportunities to serve other clients to make sure we are ready for your reservation. Because of the way pre-booking works, last-minute cancellations result in losses for us.
If a passenger doesn’t show up or cancels close to the time of service, we’ve still committed a driver and vehicle, incurring costs and time. Please refrain from canceling, as your vehicle will be there for you unless we receive notification from you. Your vehicle will be at the pick-up location as scheduled, unless weather or traffic conditions prevent it.
If we’re unable to provide service due to unexpected issues, we will reach out to you and make alternate arrangements when possible. These situations can include severe weather, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns, but we’ll do our best to offer a solution and may provide another driver if needed.
Cancellation terms
- There are no cancellation fees if you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the service will be charged the full flat rate for the requested service to cover our losses.
- All no-shows and late cancellations will be reviewed to understand the situation. If an investigation finds it necessary, we will charge for unused services. Refund eligibility for cancellations made with less than the required notice will be decided by our management team.
- Cancellations after 48 hours or without prior notice will incur at least a 50% charge of the booked time, plus any additional fees, if applicable.
PASSENGER POLICY
Minimum Number of Passengers
To take advantage of our special rates, we require a minimum booking of two passengers. If only one passenger books a trip, unfortunately, we will have to cancel the service, and a full refund will be provided to that passenger.
Maximum Number of Passengers
For extended trips, such as to Cape Breton, PEI, or airports, the number of passengers is determined by the luggage capacity of the vehicle. Please provide the dimensions of your luggage to help us assess the maximum number of passengers we can accommodate.
No-Show Policy
To prevent being charged as a no-show, please make sure to contact Advanced Limo Services before leaving your location. You can reach us 24/7 by phone, email, text, or through our website. If you’re unable to locate your driver, please contact us immediately.
A “no-show” occurs if the client fails to reach out to us, cannot find their driver, leaves the pick-up area, or isn’t present at the scheduled pick-up time. In such cases, the full cost of the trip will be charged, along with a wait time fee of $1 per minute for the time the driver waits.
If you don’t meet your driver or contact us within 15 minutes of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be considered a no-show, unless we are informed of any delays. We will attempt to contact the phone number provided.
For all bookings, a 10-minute grace period is allowed. After 15 minutes, you’ll be charged the full fare, including any wait time, if we haven’t received any communication from you.
Passenger capacity
For safety reasons, we can only provide the number of seats that the vehicle is equipped with. Vehicles cannot carry more passengers than there are seat belts.
Trip waiting time policy
If you experience any delays, please contact your driver immediately. If the driver has to wait without hearing from you, they may leave, and you may be considered a “No Show.”
The maximum waiting time is 15 minutes. Please keep in mind that other passengers are scheduled for pickup, and we must stick to the planned trip times.
Waiting time charges also apply if you ask the driver to wait or park for any reason.
Airport waiting time policy
We understand that retrieving your luggage or using the restroom after a long flight takes time. If there are any delays, such as lost luggage or customs clearance, please notify the driver.
The maximum wait time is 30 minutes, as long as it does not interfere with our other scheduled bookings. After this time, if you haven’t arrived, it will be considered a “No Show,” and applicable fees will apply.
Grace period
We allow a 15-minute grace period beyond the scheduled pickup time. If this period is exceeded, the reservation will be marked as a “No Show,” and the full charge will apply.
Pick up
Advanced Limo Services is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as weather, road conditions, traffic, or vehicle breakdowns.
Airport Pick up
Halifax Airport charges a commercial pickup fee of $8.50 per vehicle for every airport pickup. An additional $8.50 will be added to your fare.
Passengers must follow the Airport Pickup Procedure.
Flight Pickup Time Adjustment
Regardless of the time you provide for your airport pickup, we will adjust the time to match your flight’s actual arrival time.
Meet & Greet Service
If you would like the driver to meet you inside the airport, an extra $20 will be added to your reservation.
Trip luggage policy
The maximum luggage allowance is one personal item per passenger, with a weight limit of 7 kg. This is based on the vehicle’s trunk capacity.
Lost Items
- We are not liable for any lost or damaged baggage, personal property, or items left inside the vehicle.
- We will do our best to return lost items found in the vehicle if possible
Passenger Conduct:
- Passengers should behave respectfully and treat each other with consideration.
- Advanced Limo Services has the right to refuse transportation to any individuals who are heavily under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If the driver feels unsafe, the ride will be immediately ended, and full payment will be required.
- If the driver or dispatcher or even other customers determines that the client or their group is endangering the driver, vehicle, or anyone else, the service will be canceled without a refund.
- Possession of illegal substances or materials is not permitted, and any violation will result in cancellation of the service with no refund.
Damage and Cleaning Fees
- The person who made the booking or the reservation is responsible for any costs related to damage or cleaning. This includes charges for cleaning vomit or spills ($150-$100), repairing burns ($500-$1000), smoking ($100 per violation), fixing upholstery tears ($500-$1000), and fixing damage caused by hitting another vehicle or object ($1000-$1500).
- Charges for vehicle damage or lost income could total up to $5000 and will be billed to the credit card provided unless otherwise arranged.
Seatbelt & Child Safety
- According to Nova Scotia law, all passengers in vehicles equipped with seat belts must wear them. It is advised that passengers ensure any children they are responsible for are also properly secured.
- Children weighing less than 40 pounds must use an approved car seat. Those between 40-90 pounds or under 4 feet 6 inches must be in a booster seat. Parents or guardians must supply and install the required car seat.
- If needed, a car seat can be provided for a $10 fee, but it must be arranged in advance since these seats are not kept in the vehicle.
- Advanced Limo Services is not responsible for unbuckled seat belts or improperly installed child seats; that responsibility falls to the passenger or guardian.
Alcohol and Drugs
- Passengers are not permitted to consume alcohol or carry open containers inside the vehicle. Alcohol must be sealed and placed in the trunk. Passengers are fully responsible for their belongs.
- The consumption of drugs or alcohol inside the vehicle is prohibited and will result in the immediate termination of service with no refund.
No Smoking
- Smoking is prohibited inside the vehicle. Violators are subject to penalties under the Nova Scotia Smoke-free Places Act.
- Nova Scotia Smoke-free Places Act states:
5 (1) No person shall smoke in any enclosed place that is or includes:
(l) a ferry, ferry terminal, bus, bus station or shelter, taxi, taxi shelter, limousine or vehicle carrying passengers for hire;
14 (1) Every person, other than a manager or employer, who contravenes this Act or the regulations or fails to comply with an order made pursuant to this Act or the regulations is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine of not more than two thousand dollars.
(2) Every manager or employer who contravenes this Act or the regulations or fails to comply with an order made pursuant to this Act or the regulations is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction for a first offence to a fine of not more than two thousand dollars, for a second offence to a fine of not more than five thousand dollars and for a third or subsequent offence to a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars.
(3) In addition to any penalty levied pursuant to subsection (2) upon conviction for an offence contrary to this Act, an authority authorized to suspend or cancel any licence or permit issued in respect of the premises where the offence was committed may suspend or cancel that licence or permit. 2002, c. 12, s. 14 .
Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
- Advanced Limo Services is not responsible for disruptions caused by uncontrollable events, such as traffic, weather conditions, road closures, accidents, flight delays, or mechanical issues.
